The Devoted Dog

We took the Adult Etiquette class through Unchained Melodies and it was such a great experience. Kai is incredibly knowledgeable about how dogs think and what motivates them, and had so many great tips for how we could adjust things for our dog or expand on the training. I also learned so much more than the skills advertised. There is a play break in the middle of the class for the pups and Kai narrates their interactions. I found learning how dogs communicate with one another and what respectful play should look like fascinating. Kai also sends detailed notes and helpful documents after each class for you to refer back to when you are doing homework. This was such a fun way to bond with and get to know our newly adopted pup!

Kai and his team are full of knowledge and solutions to best help our pup through her training and development. We are given tools to help us in training and socialization and we are met with kindness and patience from Kai and his team.

Kai and the other team members did an amazing job of keeping control of the situation during all times and picking up on cues that I never would’ve picked up on from my dog. The communication, especially during classes and social hour, was amazing and really helps me understand my pet better. I love this team!

Kai provides a wealth of previous experience to her private lessons. This is in addition to her Master in Animal Behavior and Karen Pryor certification. She uses a careful evaluation of the dog's and the owner's interactions as a part of her training. Her ability to demonstrate any technique, as well as her communication to the owner is excellent. Her teaching has taught me how to understand what my dog's behavior is telling me. Her supportive demeanor contributes significantly to my confidence in working and living with my dog. I have worked with her off and on over the past few years to address different issues with my dog, who suffered on-going trauma his first two years of life before I adopted him. He has become more confident, less easily stressed/reactive, and more bonded to me with her professional help. I trust her without reservation as a dog trainer.
