(from Google)One of my favorite night hike/ dusk hike areas. There are multiple loops you can take of varying length. Check out the Ridges to Rivers website for trail conditions, leash/off leash and other info. The loop we took was off leash but shared with bikers. Can confirm, the Lower Hulls Gulch section has ticks, make sure to check your fur babies.
I really love this trail because once you get down halfway on the dog trail you go to the right instead of the left because the left has days where bicyclists can go downhill on odd days and you can hike up on even days. So we went last Saturday and it was really nice, take the right and about halfway through. There's a beautiful little creek and it is pretty.
Amazing city trail system! Many options for hiking running biking or even an outing with the little ones! There’s a great nature center with interpretive flower gardens and even a swing in the yard. I could have hung out for hours and there is tons of parking at multiple trailheads with port-a potty’s
Loved the trail. Fascinating that you have this trail less than 10 minute away from downtown Boise. I started at Grove Trailhead parking lot (find it on google maps) and took 37 owl’s roost trail, then the 39a kastrei trail, and then 39 red cliff trail which brings you back to parking lot. There was the foothills learning center on the trail with information about the trail and habitat which I didn’t get to explore. Seemed pretty cool.
Pretty. I loved it there. Along the trail I find a bag of belongings and I understand I might disrupt the evidence. I was trying to find an ID of some sort. I was planning on calling the police nearby. I'll start on this and see if anyone is missing their bag that is labeled "Las Vegas" with red font. Hopefully with me posting stuff there will be connections.
