CSU Flint Animal Cancer Center made a painful process more than bearable with uniformly kind, warm, and caring treatment by everyone we interacted with there. But, most of all deserving of praise and recognition is Laney, a 4th year vet student. Laney (sp?) was with us throughout the whole day long process and explained everything in great detail and showed such compassion every step. She insisted on holding our dog Mr. Darcy, rather than putting him in a cage. Mr Darcy stopped shaking and left after the procedure without the usual stress induced stomach upset because of her connection and compassion. We wish Laney in her vet career great luck, and she will be a tremendous asset to any hospital who hires her. In the end, we had good news, and the price was a third of what it would have been at our usual cancer doctor.

I have gone to CSU for radiation therapy, for CAT scans, the ER, Dermatology, oncology my animals we're never fearful. My cats and dogs were well taken care of and the communication was great. After going there for several years some of the staff recognized me coming in the door. Even the receptionist get a star of approval.

Daisy was treated in radiation oncology at Flint Animal Cancer Center this week. We found the entire team to be kind, professional, and intelligent. They put our family's needs ahead of their own ego and offered a number of options for Daisy’s nasal cancer. From Dr. Richartz the resident in charge of her care, to the veterinary technicians, assistants, and students - everyone operated as a team with only our family's well-being in mind. The price was very reasonable compared with the same treatment and testing in private practice. Thank you all. Daisy and Mama.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about the oncology team at CSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Dr. Vickery and her incredible team gave our corgi, Bennett, the best care we could have ever hoped for. When he was first diagnosed with cancer, we were told his time might be limited—but thanks to their expertise, compassion, and dedication, Bennett lived over a year and a half longer than expected, and those extra months were filled with so much love and quality of life. From the very first visit, the entire staff treated Bennett like he was their own. They were gentle, honest, and always went above and beyond to make sure we understood every option. Dr. Vickery’s compassion and knowledge gave us confidence through every step of his treatment journey. It was clear that everyone on the oncology team truly cared—not just about treating his cancer, but about helping him live happily and comfortably. We will forever be grateful to CSU for the extra time and beautiful memories we were able to have with our boy. Their oncology department is truly world-class, and I can’t thank them enough for everything they did for Bennett and for us.

The CSU team is just the absolute best and took care of my Roscoe just like he was their own dog. He clearly loved them, too. I would recommend them to anyone.
