(from Google)The pictures are my dog before and after his appointment. My mom had taken my pomeranian to get a trim. My mom’s boyfriend (who doesn’t know anything about dogs) called to ask if they can shave him off instead. He made the call without my mom knowing. The groomers accepted his request. Pomeranians aren’t supposed to be shaved and it damages their coat. Groomers should KNOW this and should’ve rejected my mom’s boyfriend’s request. On top of that, my mom’s boyfriend asked for his nails to be cut more and the groomer nearly accepted that request before my mom interfered saying that my dog will bleed if his nails are cut more. The groomer then replied saying “that would’ve happened if I cut his nails”….yet she almost accepted his request if my mom hadn’t intervened. Although my mom’s boyfriend is to blame for making the request, I also think the groomers should’ve denied his request of shaving his hair off. I had actually taken my dog to a petco for a haircut months prior and they denied us service because he was too young and they had told us that his breed should never be shaven. The fact that petco, a CHAIN STORE, has knowledge about not shaving a pomeranian should say enough about the professionalism of Dog-Gone Gorgeous. The groomers should’ve denied the request and told my mom’s boyfriend that pomeranians shouldn’t be shaved. Now I have to worry about if my dog’s coat will grow back to normal again. I won’t be able to take him on walks now because he risks getting sunburned from lack of hair.
Yuli has been my baby, Jamie's, groomer for a couple of years now, and I wouldn't take him anywhere else, ever! He is a little Morkie, and can be a big baby, and quite difficult at times. She does a great job, taking care of him with extreme tenderness, kindness and professionalism. Also, she is very accommodating of my schedule, and understanding when I have to reschedule.
We have been taking Gigi our Shih Tzu here for 5 years and everyone at Dog Gone Gorgeous has been amazing. Gigi gets excited when we ask her if she is going to get her haircut and runs to the door. They take such special care of her and do an amazing job. We are leaving the area and hope we find somewhere as good. We know Gigi will miss them.
Took our dog into 9am appt. Didn’t hear for multiple hours so called at noon to get a time estimate and they replied “ oh he will be ready when he’s ready”. Still no call and on website said they closed at 4pm so got there at 3:50pm and he was just on table then to get done. Had to wait outside for 45 min but the lady was completely rude and heard her being frustrated and said well if they want their dog they can take him. After, my dog had multiple cuts and had to take him to the vet to get on antibiotics. I don’t think they gave him water all day as he was so thirsty & couldn’t get enough water when he got home. I would highly suggest going elsewhere. Horrible service all around.
Dog-Gone Gorgeous is the only place we will take our Parson Russell Terrier, Houdini!! Yuli and Tina are the best!
