Nerdy K9 Academy

Excellent place! I adopted a dog from the humane society and set up training with Nerdy K9. My dog absolutely fell in love with her trainer, Madison. I am new to dog ownership, and appreciated Madison's extensive knowledge of dog behavior. Madison always took time to explain not only dog logic, but puppy logic, which can be two separate things. Very happy with the end results and highly recommend Nerdy K9!

We love this place! Missy worked with my dog potato prior to his adoption and was able to give me history and valuable insight from the beginning of my relationship with him. She is talented, thoughtful, and funny. She always seems to genuinely enjoy seeing him and treats him with so well. He has so much fun there. She’s taught me as much as she’s taught him and is always willing to offer correction and answer as many questions as I have. My dog and I have access to such a wealth of knowledge and invaluable support through her.

I was getting to the end of my wits with a very stubborn corgi puppy that refused to listen to any command that wasn't immediately beneficial to him. Missy stepped in, helped evaluate what worked with him, what he didn't like, and more importantly teaches me proper educational methods and techniques that turned our relationship around. Beyond the training courses, she was always a text or email away to show behaviors and ask for help, or to bounce other ideas off of for training plans. Most of that was done free of charge, solely done to help train me to train a better dog. It's very clear how much Missy cares about not only your success, but ultimately the betterment of your furry friends. She even provided additional feedback for introducing our newest puppy, what was and was not appropriate play, and help them bond to their inseperable best friends they are today. I can't fully provide enough words for how much Missy helped and I will be forever grateful for everything. I just need her to help train cats and I'll be back with 2 more friends for her to help with!

If I could give Nerdy K9 more than 5 stars I would! She has completely changed my family’s life. My dog used to be nervous of everything, men, children, strange situations, etc. Through training Missy has helped my dog become confident and trusting of our relationship. I also now know how to my better handle unavoidable situations (being around strangers) with my dog. My dog loves exploring, climbing and just being a dog again. I could never thank Nerdy K9 enough for all they have done for me and my four-legged best friend. If you need basic training, obedience, or behavior modification Nerdy K9 is the place to go. :) I also love the fact that only positive reinforcement was used with my dog! We both got to learn together and more importantly grow together. THANK YOU NERDY K9!!!

Missy is amazing! How she knows so much just by looking at a dog is insane to me! I am currently working on aggression issues - went to Missy for 4 sessions. She gave me advice that deep inside I felt embarrassed that I didn’t know but she does not make it awkward or make you feel like a bad dog parent at all! Using her tips and advice and what to watch for along with redirecting focus- I have not had another fight and able to prevent fights that may have happened. Also- it seems like my dog is happier because her dreams went from wolf like scary growling to wagging her tail and running in her sleep! Thank you thank you!
