Our toy poodle, Weido, had been declining in health for some time, and we knew the moment was coming. When his condition suddenly worsened and he began to suffer, this clinic being open on a Sunday was truly a godsend. From the moment we arrived, the gentleman who greeted us was incredibly calm and gentle while asking what was going on. We were already heartbroken and red-eyed, and his kindness helped more than he probably knows. Throughout the entire process, the gentleman and veterinary staff were extremely compassionate, understanding, and respectful. They gave us the time and privacy we needed to say goodbye to our baby and to tell him how much we loved him. We were even given a button to press when we were ready to begin, which helped us feel in control during such a difficult moment. When it was time, the gentleman came in and allowed my wife and me to hold our baby while he gently gave the injection. Afterwards, he took our baby and returned shortly with him carefully swaddled in a beautiful yellow towel and then wrapped in the blanket we had brought from home. That small, thoughtful detail meant so much to us. This man’s calmness, kindness, and compassion made one of the hardest moments of our lives far more peaceful and tolerable. I truly hope this clinic knows what a gem he is and how much of a difference his care made for our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Please never lose the compassion you show to the pets you care for and to the people who love them.

This place cares about $$$$, not your pet. Our dog sliced his ear, and it took them 3.5 hours to see him and they charged over $350 to be told the cut has lost it blood flow and needed to be cutoff (lie #1). We told them we couldn't afford the $1200 surgery for the removal and a few stitches so they said they'd clean his wound (lie #2) and give us antibiotics and a pain medication (lie #3). It was TWO weeks of no pain meds or a real cleaning to remove debris, including grass, leaves, and chunks of matted fur and dried blood from the wound before we got him into our vet's office where he got the actual cleaning treatment and real diagnosis of blood flow still happening to his ear tip and the possibility of salvaging his ear with a couple of stitches. Read that again: our pup had a slice in his ear which is one of the most sensitive areas on an animal and he had to go without pain medication for TWO FREAKING WEEKS. This place is a joke. The only redeeming quality was Brandi, the first technician we saw. She was kind and tried to answer the questions we had, but when the actual "doctor" came to see us, it was like we were a waste of her time. She was short with us, and acted like we were idiots and beneath her. This business has signs that say to treat their doctors with respect, they may be having a rough day. Well they need to treat their patients with respect and care, or get out of the business. We are educated people and just wanted our dog taken care of. Never again will I step foot in this building.

Don't do it.. its not worth it. I should have listened to my neighbor she showed up here with her pup and after being rude and telling her despite what condition her dog was in she could wait. Her dog passed in the waiting area. I went anyway because I was desperate and no one is open on Sundays. They were rude and hateful no compassion a young lady came in in tears she had brought her pup in the day before from what she thought was poison. They gave him a shot and booted him and her out the door with a 400 dollar bill. Told her if she wanted further services get ready to fork over another chunk of cash if not leave. She came back the next day the dog obviously having taking a turn for the worse. He could barely hold his head up it was just me and her in reception. They had one lady show up 3 hours after us a dog breeder with a dog in labor they took that dog back before either of ours. Which was odd because they didnt even make her fill out the financial paperwork. They then told us it would be 5 more hours because they had to perform surgery. The young lady busted out crying saying her dog would probably be dead. It broke my heart the heartless tech said we can go somewhere else or wait. Our dogs are not priority. I walked out. This was the worst vet experience I have ever had. This place is about money and nothing else they could care less if your animal dies just fork over some cash. If you wanna hold your beloved pet as it dies in your arms and both you and them get mistreated and have to pay a grand for the experience this is your place if not. Find somewhere anywhere else.

my cat contracted parvo and i found out through this clinic. they made me pay over 200 dollars just for the diagnosis and asked for another 1000+ dollars just to treat her. all across their walls inside the waiting room and office, there were SO many posters and pages about finances, as if that’s all they care about. i’m aware that vet bills are expensive but they ask for SO much for SO little. want to simply know if your pet is dying? give us 140 dollars just to get in. it’s just disgusting. they clearly only care about the money. a couple employees were very kind and it’s absolutely not their fault. the receptionists, however, took an incredibly long time getting to us even though we were the only people in the waiting room. they knew our cat had internal bleeding and after a 2 hour drive they were fully aware of, made us wait even longer. JUST TO ASK US FOR THAT MUCH MONEY. we were unable to pay for the treatments for our cat, seeing as it would cost more than three times our rent, so they sent us on our way. we got stripped of all the money we had just to find out our cat had parvo and not be able to do a damn thing about it. it’s sickening that there are establishments out there like this that are the only places you can turn to during a late night emergency just to get shaken down for every penny you have in your pocket with no positive outcome. it’s just sad. this visit was truly and utterly devastating. they were fully transparent about the pricing of simply going in, 140 dollars, and that’s fine! but they did not tell us how much simply keeping our pet alive was going to be until we found out she might not make it. this was the only available place open this late at night within a 3 hour driving distance and i am just devastated. and not “yes emergency services can be expensive and that can be disheartening” because i have never experienced a place as expensive for simple treatment as this place. if your pet is in a genuine emergency and you don’t have anything over 400 dollars, do NOT go here. and as you can see in their reply to my comment, they said exactly what i stated in my post. “we know the expensive nature of emergency services can be a lot” lmao it’s just funny. after going here, i asked around and everyone i know agrees that this place is way too overpriced. they don’t even offer payment plans. that’s how they make their profit. they’re only open at night, and force you to pay over 400 dollars right on the spot or they’re letting your pet die. this place is DISGUSTING. they give you two choices, pay or lose your pet. don’t go here. if you need to go to a clinic, the Wheeler Tx Vet Clinic is best. that’s where we went after leaving this horrible place and offered a payment plan and a 20 dollar vaccine. so much more comfortable and willing to work with your pet than this place. need a vet within a good budget with even better quality people and treatments? go to wheeler tx!! it’s about an hour and a half out of amarillo. they’ll save your pet and not shake you down for all your money!! not to mention they’ve paralyzed one persons dog on accident from a needle and talk so loudly in the back where everyone in the exam room can hear. right before we went in, a woman was crying after losing her pet. we went in after her and they were laughing and chatting in the back. one girl said verbatim “yeah sure we’ll just put the body in this bag” after laughing. disgusting behavior

Helped me with my sick kitten and she’s doing great now! I called about prices ahead of time since it was late and they let me know exactly what it would cost and when they start charging night fees. Yes they are a little pricey (be prepared to drop minimum $200) but they are very transparent about costs. A tech led me through each item they recommended, what they cost, and let me pick what treatments I wanted to do. The vet was very kind. Thank you so much!
