(from Google)They did my first cats spay and for a good price. Job well done. Thank you. I just got my cat in today for a very concerning issue and Doctor Sahony gave me great advice, treated my cat fast with the help of her great assistant. Thank you all so much for being accessible.
Do not waste your time bringing any of your pets here! I called over 20 times until someone finally answered and they refused to give a slot for my kitten who had an emergency! Told me to try another hospital and on top of that, they never even sent the records to the hospital I went to! The hospital called them over 10 times until someone answered and never bothered to send the records. This should never happen with the vet you’ve chosen to trust and care for your animal. On the brighter side, go to the vet hospital in north haledon. Absolutely amazing service and all the people there actually love their job and know exactly what they’re doing! Also, the prices are extremely similar. I only came here for a cheaper option, but trust me there others out there with similar prices and tremendous receptionist service! The vet needs a new receptionist at this place, otherwise this will just happen to someone else.
It’s taken me a while to write this because it still makes me emotional to talk about, but I really want to thank everyone at Blue Cross Dog and Cat Hospital for the love and care they gave my dog, Gigi. From the beginning, they created a calm, fear-free space for her. Gigi had some trauma from a past dog attack and could be reactive, but they never judged her or treated her differently. They were always so gentle and patient with her, and I could tell they truly cared. They accommodated her so she wouldn’t be uncomfortable or stressed during her visits which meant a lot to me. Her breed was never an issue—they saw her for the sweet girl she really was, which I’m very thankful for. When Gigi started showing signs of what they suspected might be cancer, they quickly got to work and handled the situation seriously. I was in my early 20s at the time and had no idea how to handle something like this. Thankfully, I had a whole support system from Blue Cross Dog and Cat Hospital. I’ll always remember Tanya, the receptionist, she would always call me and update me on Gigi’s treatment plan. Tanya if you see this, thank you for always being so kind to me, and grounding me when i felt overwhelmed regarding Gigi’s diagnosis. I know there were more staff who helped facilitate smooth visits and Gigis treatment, I want to thank you all as well for your part, too. Thank you so much Doctor had such a good heart. He treated Gigi with the utmost compassion and sensitivity. He took the time to go over all the pros and cons of different options with me and really worked with me financially, which I appreciated so much. Thank you for handling the situation with sensitivity, honesty, and for making sure I understood everything regarding her diagnosis/treatment plan. Thank you so much for not making me feel pressured or judged to do anything, you really are a true professional and I thank you for all your help! Ultimately, when her quality of life started to decline, I made the tough decision to let Gigi go—after a lot of thought and remembering everything the doctor had explained to me so carefully. I didn’t want her to suffer, or put her through any pain for my own feelings, but nonetheless I am grateful for you all providing her pain management and care, and being honest about her poor prognosis regarding her cancer. What sticks with me the most is how much Gigi trusted you all. That gave me a lot of peace during such a heartbreaking time. I’ll never forget the kindness you showed both of us. Thank you, truly, for treating Gigi like family and for helping me through one of the hardest experiences of my life. I will always be grateful to you all. thank you again
Dr. Sova. Jr. Is so soft spoken. Answered all my concerns. His assistant was also very polite. He also made me feel comfortable. The ladies in the front were very nice as well. Cary will be going back for a teeth cleaning very soon.
I've been seeing Dr. Sova for 40 years. He's ALWAYS been kind, attentive, caring, empathetic, and completely thorough with descriptions of what's going on; and he doesn't rush you. His son follows in his footsteps. I've known Tonia for years and she is the same way. If I call with a problem they ALWAYS to help me. They've been poignant, sympathetic, and gentle through my days of grieving my past babies, and the male vet tech which I've never asked his name is oh so kind and eye candy to speak to...or should I say dreamy...Back on topic...Dr. Sova is also the same. I'd recommend this place to anyone and I always do. I know the phone number by heart and if I ever moved, they'd still be my hospital if Ihad to drive or fly there. I've been to other hospitals in Bergen County and the treatment was abhorrent to the animals as well as the customers. The interns would take pictures of the emergency animals BEFORE helping them because it was good for their resume. Therefore, I know good from bad. Blue Cross Blue Shield Animal Hospital in Paterson NJ is not good, IT'S THE BEST! Oh, and also on the staff is Adelina. She greets you with the utmost professionalism. If you call and you have to leave your name and number because they're busy, THEY WILL CALL YOU BACK THE SAME DAY. Their boarding is FANTASTIC. They groom the pets before you pick them up and they smell deliciously delightful. God Bless EVERYONE on staff. Those names I didn't mention that work there, my apologies, I haven't met you; but I have no doubt you're just as good because Dr. Paul Sova only "vets" the best. (No pun intended)
