(from Google)Dr. Griggs, Jose and Amber are amazing ! They took care of all my dogs and kitties. I had been here before for my dogs which led me to bring my kitten in. They took extreme care for her and showed so much love and attention. If your best friend is your top priority and is family not a pet. Bring them here right away and they'll make sure you both live happily ever after. Thank you guys and god bless you!
I wanna share my experience with Arkvets especially the Avondale location. They have been so helpful and very friendly with my pet Sole. Dr. Starks was very brilliant and knew exactly what was wrong with Sole. I went to take him in because his skin was so bad and had rash all over his body and redness, and they recommend we have him on some medications and also some recommendations with showering and and what to eat. I love the teamwork, even Juan is very patient and kind to my baby Sole. Very understanding and explains everything in details. I also wanna acknowledge the front desk Cambria and Tracy, they are awesome ! They provide the best service when answering the phone. When you leave a voicemail they will certainly get back to you on a timely matter when they’re not busy. Dr. Lauren was also amazing and she went through everything and made sure I didn’t have any questions. They made me fee very welcome and always take their time on my Sole! There are some too that did an amazing job but I’m bad with names lol I’m still learning some of them. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of them. 😊 However, I’m so very glad that I made the right choice to have them as my Vet and care for my baby. If you are looking for a place to take your furry babies, I 100% recommend ArkVets. You won’t be dissatisfied! 🙏🥰❤️
No trip to the Urgent Care with your pet is ever one you look forward to. My regular vet referred me to Desert Ark in Avondale as their hours were more flexible for my needs. I was surprised when I could book an appointment in advance. I got their right on time on a Saturday evening and there was only one client ahead of me. I was immediately impressed with the vet tech Juan Romero who was explaining to the people ahead of me (they had two little dogs) what the immediate concerns were, and the options available. Juan was very articulate in his explanation and showed compassion for the two dogs. I only had to wait a few minutes before I was called to a room and Juan was there to do the intake. The vet on staff that night was Darius Starks and I felt like I hit the jackpot. He asked questions about my concerns and quickly put me at ease with what was happening. Dr Starks was nothing short of awesome and they never, and I mean NEVER tried to get me to agree to unnecessary tests. I left there feeling relieved for my dog (Bodhi) and so assured that my special little friend was in good hands. Kenna was at the desk and she was just as sweet as she could be so overall a two thumbs up appointment.
I’m so grateful for the incredible care my senior pup received here. She had a very scary stomach issue last week, and thanks to this amazing team, she is now on the road to a full recovery. From my very first phone call to leaving with her medications, I was treated with compassion, understanding, and urgency. I’ve been coming here for over five years, and they have always been there when it matters most. A special thank you to Kenna, Celeste, and Dr. Velazquez for taking such wonderful care of my old girl. Their kindness and dedication truly mean more than words can say. ❤️
Jan 2026 Update: bloodwork shows my dog has pancreatitis. I am done. The vet we were seeing is no longer there. My dog got very sick over new years and I brought him in January 2nd. The 5th. And 9th. Every time we saw a different person. I don't think I even saw a vet during 2 of those visits. A tech just came in and out of room with announcements. This last visit in the 9th? I will never go back. Big dude vet grabbed my dog by the scruff, hard and said he was not dehydrated. Well... your office was charging me 560.00 to hydrate him so is he dehydrated or not? Dude vet (who clearly hasn't looked at his chart) insisted he didn't have pancreatitis. Yet he was being treated for pancreatitis in their office, to the tune of 1300.00 in the past week. The male vet was rude, patronizing and voiced the complete opposite of everything is been told. He may have been right, but that means everyone else was wrong. I told the tech ( she is sweet) I was confused and bewildered and I didn't know what to believe. Adding to my stress, my dog dropped a big bloody pile of poo on their exam floor. They insisted that wasn't a big deal. However, they grabbed a tablet to get a picture. I don't know. My dog is still sick. Waiting on bloodwork. I think I need to take my dehydrated not dehydrated puking bloody not really sick dog somewhere else. Am done. Big rude guy? You are in the wrong profession. Go get yourself an IT job and stay away from animals. Original review Since moving to AZ., I have been taking my Jack Russell Terrier to ArkVets for his care and immunizations. I love the staff, but more importantly, Mickey loves the staff. (He has a soft spot for veterinary technicians. Or pretty girls. Either way, as long as he feels comfortable and loves the staff, I am happy. ;) )
