Touhey Family Preserve

Quaint little trail tucked between private properties with lots to see, hear, smell, and feel. Minimal elevation with much care taken to ensure walkability. A lovely gift.

Easy loop trail with only small elevation changes. 35 minutes at a leisurely pace.

Husband and I took the kids on a weekday and they had a great time. We took the yellow trail and hiked to the pond overlook but it was nothing but a dead end covered in tall bushes. Maybe in the colder months you can see the water but as of June there’s nothing much to see aside from shrubbery. The rest of the hike via the red trail is great. Easy paths with little to no elevation. There were a few trees fallen on the trail that we had to hop over but it wasn’t a bother. The parking lot is teeny tiny and there aren’t port-o-potties

Great little hike! We went in May and it was beautiful. Just under a mile loop and almost completely shaded. There are high quality boardwalks as well so if it rained and was muddy you would be fine. Maximum car parking spaces would be about 4. But you could park across the street and walk over. Very nice welcome map display and trails are clearly marked with red tags on the trees. Note that the trailhead is connected to a driveway that is private property. Enjoy!

.85 mile trail and .06 mile trail to small wooded pond. I saw several deer, no trash on the trails , little noisy off main road (Delaware) although gets quiet a minute or so into the walk. As of March 26th the trails are fairly muddy after the rain although still an easy walk even with a pair of hightops converse. Lots of the longer trail has a little wood walkway, enter trail on right hand side between two rocks to begin trail with wooden walkway. Go left for pond and to get right into the mud. Great to come to at least once or often if you live nearby. Thank you to the family who has allowed the public to enjoy your beautiful lands. Be careful as entrance is sudden, narrow and only spacious enough for one way traffic at a time, parking holds maybe 6-7 vehicles 🤙🏽 Enjoy
