(from Google)Great park and location almost like a hidden gem. You really have to look for it though. Very clean and peaceful and quiet.
Great place to have a BBQ (one BBQ pit with two picnic bench tables) and play tennis (3 courts) or play games on the ample area grass. Three posts with dog poop bags for your pet needs. Two night lights. Courts have very bright halogen lights that are timed (you just have to push the button on the far right post a the end as you come into the court). There are no bathrooms on the site. Nice playground for the kids (swings and a standard kids slide gym).
Great local park with three lighted tennis courts. I live on Garin and this is a perfect place to play tennis with friends and family. Would be nice if the parks department can fill in, level and repaint the cracks, since there are many on the courts, which can cause the ball to go of course or players to trip while playing. Update: Dec 2023 HARD (hayward area recreation department) did a great job repairing and revitalizing this court. Looks awesome. Great use of taxpayer funds!
a review from @amom2kidsandapark A cute little park just down the hill from Garin Regional is the perfect addition of play to an exploring adventure. This neighborhood park offers a play area, tennis courts, grassy area, picnic tables, trees for climbing, and wide sidewalks for chalk art. The play area has a structure and a swing set with bucket and standard swings. The structure has two slides (a spiral and a wavy), steps, various climbing ladders including a step wall (like a climbing wall but really big steps almost like ledges so very suitable for the new to climbing kiddo, and a pretty long path of monkey bars. There are no bathrooms There is a parking lot
As a community, walking our dogs to the park where grass is has been a blessing. And the park has 3 containers that carry doggie poop bags. Tennis courts are used in the summer and during the dry part of the winter. Swings and slides are for families with children ages 1 thru 12. Summer time, the park rents out space for family parties. For Space rental contact Hayward Area Recreational District. Rental rates are very reasonable.
