No signage/ no parking/ no walkway/ no facility Do not go!
I came thinking it was a nice beach but it’s just filled with seaweed
This was once a beach and nature park maintained by Hillsborough County, that was adjacent to a very small phosphate mine and phosphogypsum stack. The stack collapsed rendering the area too radioactive and toxic for human use. From the satellite view you can see the outline of where the phosphogypsum stack was. The land is now owned by Mosaic, who has "promised" to clean it up once it is "safe to do so".
All this is is where someone has a place and they named it and put it here. My brother bought a boat and the person before made a google map page for where he has it on a mooring ball in the bay. Waste of time looking for this. The owner is getting a good laugh reading the reviews.
