Core Canine

Incredible dog training. April has taught 2 of my dogs and we keep coming back over and over for additional training because the dogs love it, and they have learned a TON! They make training fun for dogs and people.

My golden retriever puppy just finished Puppy Kindergarten with Core Canine. Our instructor, April, was terrific. She was relatable, realistic, and encouraging. She made the classes positive and fun for both me and my pup. She also welcomed other family members to come to class so everyone could participate and learn helpful techniques. Our pup now knows the basic commands, polite leash walking manners, as well as more advanced concepts like wait, focus, leave it, drop it, and stay. We will be continuing with doggie middle school to keep the learning going. Thank you April!

After an overwhleming puppy socialization encounter at a different facility, we decided to take Toby to a facilaity that hosted smaller puppy socialization sessions. We were impressed by the structure of Core Canines play sessions because we immediately felt that April made the space safe, clean and comfortable. Toby had a blast in these sessions and so seeing how knowledgeable the trainer was we went ahead a placed him group training sessions. He did great! And even though we were in a group setting, I felt that his training was very personalized! We will be back for the high school course!

This was my first time doing professional dog training and it was a great experience! I love the small group set up because it helped my chihuahua puppy Primo socialize without being too overwhelmed. April was lovely and very knowledgeable. Her techniques have worked well for Primo and we will continue working on what we’ve learned. We will be back for middle school!

Wonderful experience working with Core Canine. We needed some assistance with our 10 month old puppy who had developed some resource guarding. Olivia is amazing, patient kind and helped us understand why he was doing the behavior and how to work with him. Highly recommend the classes and if needed private lessons.
