(from Google)My dog LOVES going to day care at Dogtopia. She gets tons of attention, which is her actual favorite food group, and she's never alone. For my part, I breathe easier when she's there. I only bring her to day care when I have a long day of complex tasks that need doing and will take me out of the house for a long time, so it's really helpful to know that she's being loved and cared for while I'm handling whatever stressful situation is at hand. I recommend this place to everyone.
I boarded my 10 month old Terrier puppy here for 12 days. By day 4 we got notice that he has a “slight irritation”, I asked for updates which I received periodically, though vague in my opinion. Instead I got suggested on a few occasions to bring him in more often for daycare to learn how to play. Although during our meet and greet I was told he’s perfect and they have zero concerns. He’s 10 months old and was on the streets for 6 of those months. I do believe overall the people who care for dogs are kind but for paying $1,095.00 I’d expect my request of a photo be upheld considering they secluded my dog from the group for a week so I was unable to check him on cameras provided. I expressed my concern after calling due to no response and even still was told I cannot get picture updates. I was told they cannot provide me with any photos; I then asked if a family member can check on the dog as we were overseas, and I’m rudely told that someone can visit him only near the front desk, and if any other customer walks in, the checkup has to come to an end. At this point I’m ready to come home and just make sure he’s okay. Finally I make it to pick my dog up and his “slight irritation” looks like it was rubbed totally raw. Photos below of his 1.5 week long “healed” area. He’s hairless and scabbed in multiple areas of his body. His ear leather is super duper red, and he’s clearly uncomfortable as he’s been pawing at his head. Disappointed and sad for my puppy who came in there in pristine condition and skin. Not sure where things went wrong but I do think it could have been handled way better. Will update as he heals, may need to make a vet visit due to this situation. I asked for photos to determine if he should be back with other dogs and couldn’t make the decision on my own. So they made it for me. I gave 2 stars , one because he’s alive and breathing, and 1 because they accepted us with such short notice. I see why now considering they leave 15-20 dogs in a room at once but at the time I did appreciate it thinking it was great they can take him. I now regret that decision and will be sure to share my experience with other dog parents . If you see dogtopia responds saying they tried to contact me, I can post proof I was left on unanswered multiple times and had to leave more than 1 voicemail. More over, I was essentially denied a wellness check in my dog for the 12 days I was on a different continent..
We have trusted Dogtopia of Union with the daycare, boarding, and grooming of our 2 high energy 55 pound dogs for nearly 2 years and have had nothing but positive and excellent experiences. Manager Ryan and his staff are not only friendly and knowledgeable but most importantly give us the peace of mind that is absolutely necessary when trusting the care of our pets with others. Having had negative experiences at other facilities in the area, Dogtopia Union is the only place we recommend to other dog owners that are looking for trusted daycare or boarding services. The smartphone app is a major plus as well, allowing for ease of scheduling and uploading documents, as well as occasionally checking in on our pups through the livestream cameras in all the rooms. If you are looking for a daycare or boarding facility in the area, this is the place.
This place didn’t allow Dogs (Quito) that are not neutered. He’s only 2 years old every dog, regardless to have a safe place to play in if they are neutered or not.
Mollie loves her visits at Dogtopia and always wags her tail once she hears she is going to see her “friends”! My husband and I are impressed with how clean the facility is and how kind and helpful the workers are there. We love the feature of being able to see her play during the day on the app. She boards there and we know when we are away she is well taken care of. Truly a remarkable dog day care with great people working there. There is also theme days throughout the month and we love getting her photos back that are taken. Unfortunately we won’t be going as frequently due to the distance and traffic that adds up in the area, but we are so grateful we found this day care where we don’t have to worry about mollie spending her day there. She is always in good hands. don't hesitate to bring your dogs here!
