(from Google)Good starting spot to ride Suncoast trail. Disgusting port a potties though. Head to Lutz Lake Fern trailhead instead. Much more civilized
Good place to park, but the trail was awful. Since it is usually in full sun, I went on an overcast day. Unfortunately, the wind was so strong I could hardly peddle. I rode north which seemed to be uphill.
It was a very nice trail that wasn’t too busy. The only amenity we saw was a picnic table along the trail.
I've rode Gandy, CCC, Thonoto TT Loop, Westshorse, Bayshore, and DI... They all have something special, but the Suncoast is a class of it own. The scenery is breath taken while the trail serpentine, forever over hills by park bench and rest areas until the trail ends at Chassahowitzk, natural resort...Mile marker 50.9
I love this trail its a very smooth road but bit boring either direction you go, Going down to Lutz Lake Fern Rd or going all the way up Brooksville which is were it ends its an long distance that i may never accomplish in one full day but i do find it noisey being so close to the freeway. I sometimes play a game where I'd count the colors of vehicles and or brands/type I suggest to wear a hat, sunscreen, bring plenty of water.
