(from Google)Bosque Trail is a long, paved walking path. It feels private because it's planted with tall native grasses and fragrant shrubs. It's located in Irvine's Great Park neighborhood, but isn't located inside "the Great Park" proper. The entire trail is about 2 miles out and back. Leading off the paved path are some side paths with decomposed granite. There are small hills which makes for a nice elevation change. It's perfect for walking, jogging, or biking. There are two large tunnels that take you underneath the roads. There are a couple small parking lots on Bosque with typically plenty of spaces available. There are 2 restrooms, drinking fountains, dog bags, and a playground. The path is well-lit and safe for night walking.
Easy and kid-friendly trail to bike or walk on!
Bosque Trail is close to our home, and it’s one of our favorite spots for family strolls in the evening. When our kids get curious about a flower, we use an app to look up its name—it turns a simple walk into a fun learning moment. My wife enjoys showing them the caterpillars munching on milkweed. It’s a great way for the kids to connect with nature and learn something new each time we go.
We love this place. It’s local and there is playground for kids and trails to walk and enjoy the nature and wild flowers although be aware of coyotes because they also lives there. It’s dog friendly and u should keep your dog on the leash all the time.
Beautiful and quiet trails ( I went on a Friday morning) smooth paths. Not much shade recommend bringing water. Lots of bathrooms & rest areas .
