(from Google)Pretty nice park, lots of open space for activities and a good playground, my only complaint is that the new fencing around the school blocks a section of the walking loop.
A decent park! My daughter enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed walking around it in the morning.
One of the finest elementary schools in the Panhandle. Quality teachers who are relationship driven and focused upon individual student success. Administration is highly supportive of their teachers and are focused on building a community of excellence. Test scores are very high, with a focus upon each student's individual growth. We are so excited that our children are at Belmar!
We brought lunch over during a cross country drive, during the week but when school was out of session. There are two playgrounds here, one is much older and the newer one had caution / construction tape around it, so we only had access to the older side. It was still a great way to get some wiggles and energy out of four kids ranging from 8 to 3 years old before getting back in the car for hours again. There are several picnic tables and a trash can, which we used. My nieces (8 and 7) enjoyed the swings with grandpa (he gave them underdog pushes) and my nephews (5 and 3) loved the slides and running between playground equipment to climb up and jump back down. We all got on four animal teetertotter and that was fun! There is a ton of grassy space and I saw signs for a walking path, but we didn't explore that on this visit.
The elementary school we're Rick Husband went! He was a international Astronaut from Amarillo that unfortunately passed in a NASA Rocket accident! Will always be a local legend! My respects mr. Husband!
