Cupsogue Beach in Long Island is a true hidden gem. From the moment you arrive, the wide stretch of soft sand and the calming sound of the ocean instantly make you feel relaxed. It’s clean, peaceful, and far less crowded than many other beaches, which makes it perfect for unwinding or spending quality time with family and friends.

Beautiful and clean beach with soft sand and crystal clear water. Easy access, plenty of space to relax, and not too crowded. Great spot for a summer day getaway. Loved the walk from the parking area (18$) to the shore — feels like a little adventure!

The drive there is torture 25 mph. I could walk there faster. Nothing special about this beach. Long Beach is much nicer and so are many others on Long Island.

Lifeguards are on duty. The beach is clean. The waves were fun to play in. It does cost $18 to park (summer of 2025). Hide your food because the seagulls are aggressive and opportunistic. There are showers for rinsing the sand off and public restrooms that are clean. There is a little shop that sells a few souvenirs and sunscreen but the sunscreen is really expensive, bring your own.

This park is the best when it comes to off-roading and harbor seal watching. You can do seal watching for absolutely free and most environmentally friendly ways by not disturbing them. You do not have to walk miles on the beach to see Harbor Seals putting up a show. Rather, you walk only less than half a mile, and you will see Harbor seals. These seals may be well aware of people around them, and they come in good number close to shore. You need a binocular to see them. I have captured a few videos with my cell phone to give an idea how close they are to the shore. As far as off-roading is concerned, this is paradise if you have 4 × 4 with the permit. Burma road is long, and it ends at Moriches inlet. Beach was clean and well kept. Please keep it that way. Driving to this park, the speed limit in West Hampton Dunes is 25 MPH. Keep it that way, or else you will get ticketed.
