(from Google)This is a beautiful beach. Easy to access right off 101. Good sized public parking lot right next to the path under the bridge to access the beach. But it’s very windy here. Like most Oregon coastal beaches. Bundle up.
This beach used to be a favorite place to visit but this time I was sad to see lots of bits of plastic washed up. The sand is easy to walk on and during the off season there aren’t a lot of people. One of the previous times we visited we found lots of agates but this time only found a couple. Of course there are beautiful sunsets.
We love camping here. There is easy beach access. They keep the bathrooms and shower clean. There is a separate day use bathroom area. Dog friendly.
I just have to share these pictures. I’ve never seen sand like this in my life, so beautiful! Sparkling black, green, red, and golden sand all together. I wish I knew more about geology because this area is very interesting. Great picnic areas and easy beach access. Wouldn’t recommend swimming at this beach, but that pretty much goes for most Oregon beaches. But what a beautiful little area!
You know just another mazing Oregon coast state park! Huge beach area with the usual features like amazing views with the lighthouse in the backdrop but this place has something extra for those rockhounds & such. If you have a good eye you can find some really cool stuff up near the hillsides like fossil beds & I found some obsidian stone. Of course you should go!
