Balboa's Pets Store

It's not my 1st choice but when you can't find live pinkies anywhere else, you can go here and spend $7 on one.

The store is small , prices are absolutely ridiculous. I recommend any other store for live mice and other pets. They charge almost three times as much as others. The snakes are double the price for what they should be.

Got my ball python Stormy from here.....what a spoiled diva she has become! Shes absolutely loves soft things like pillows and couches. The store had alot of things available and hooked us up on our snake with everything we needed to start her out. Friendly and recommend for a small mom and pop business in the city.

I took 2 standard Poodles in for a grooming, was quoted a price prior to drop off. When I picked them up. One of them had the worst hack job and hadn't even been bathed or brushed our. The young lady stated they had to get an outside groomer to do my male Standard and his price was more. That is the one who clearly was not a groomer!!! Shame on you people!!! Do not take your pets to be bathed & Groomed to this dump!

We bought our son a bearded dragon from Balboa's back in March. We have all grown very attached to him. We originally went in for a tarantula, but after some education from the young woman that helped us, we opted for the beardy. We visit the store multiple times a week now for food for Spidey, and I've not had one bad experience. Every person that has helped us has always been kind and respectful. My son, who is 7, often asks for the worms himself and pays and the people that work there are always really inclusive and kind to him. I can't really compare pricing because this is our first family pet and we only went to Petsmart once for food, but even if prices are a little higher, I'd rather pay for a good experience at a small, local business than contribute to a corporation 💁🏾‍♀️ I enjoy going there and hope to add a frog to our family soon from Balboa's 🐸
