Doyle Conservation Area

This is a favorite walking spot of mine! The Doyle Estate is beautiful, and the walk is simple but has plenty to see. The fairy garden along one of the trails is the cutest, and the park itself is clean. Dogs are welcome (as long as they are leashed), and there is no shortage of bags for cleaning up after your dog.

Parking takes patience, but it’s free so please be kind. Also it’s best to only bring what you’ll be carrying out with yourself. They do have portable toilets available. Signs state no pets no fishing. It’s a beautiful floating dock the length of the reservoir/lake that allows you to see wildlife and fish,ducks and birds. You also have a beautiful New England backdrop with a lot of open water and trees in the landscape. You do have an opportunity to continue walking the trail into the woods for a longer walk. After your walk on the water you can take the time to have a snack you bring or not too far down the road there are plenty of places to stop and grab a cold drink. We really enjoyed the Doyle Conservation Area. I’m sure this Autumn season it will be a great spot for photos with the beautiful Autumn background!

very good place for hiking in summer time, lit of green and easy trail. We saw a Deer and lot of birds, there is a wooden bridge over pond that we liked most.

A well maintained area for you to come and enjoy nice trail experience. We parked the car in the designated parking area and spent around 45 min or so. It was a small loop that takes you back where you started. On the way we saw a deer as well. Update 8/27/2023 - returned back again after two years in the morning hours and saw deer 🦌 again. Same serene and calm feeling.

This is a great place for both families and dogs and kids and everyone really. There’s a network of trails that are all marked and not too long we’re not too sure. There are places to rest(benches, seats, etc) all along the way of each trail. Beautiful scenery including gorgeous houses and well-maintained grounds. The paths we took were very clean, no trash anywhere. There our doggy posts throughout the trails that have poop bags and trash. The closing time on Google says 6 o’clock but on line their website states that they close At sunset. However, we were out walking the trails past seven and there were several other people walking them as well. I’m not sure if and when they shut down the parking but it was open past six. There is a really cute Lily Pond with a bridge you can walk over to it and a little deck nearby with chairs and a lovely view. Highly recommend!
