A large part of this particular area is hidden which doesn'take me feel the safest, but it still has plenty of trees and the nature that I like.

I love this trail. I rode it the first time in 1981 when it was the McCann trail. It is a place to find true peace and freedom.

My husband and I recently started using this trail and we love it. I believe it has three locations where you can start. If you start on the Highway 80 end, there are bathrooms, a mailbox full of donated books to read, and a gated dog park nearby. A mile or so down the trail you'll reach the next parking place at H.G. Mosley, which is where we park. Once you pass H.G. Mosley there are exercise machines along both sides of the trail. The last spot I'm unsure about because we haven't been all the way down there, but there is a little stopping place at Bill Owens Parkway. All along the trail are resting areas. You'll see people jogging, walking, riding their bike, pushing a stroller, walking their dog, and even riding skateboards and roller blades. The trail is paved well and it's very peaceful. My only complaint is that the trail is supposed to be open until 11 at night, but once the sun goes down it's pitch black. There are no lights anywhere and it makes me a little uneasy because of crime in the area. We haven't had any problems at night so far, though.
