(from Google)Cooper’s bayou is a fantastic area to kayak around! The mangrove tunnel is very cool and there’s a ton of wildlife like birds and stingrays!
Great place to walk or rest and enjoy the tranquility. You can also launch your canoe.
I've always enjoyed this park. It has outdoor calisthenics workout equipment and it connects to the Reams Wilson trail and the Courtney Campbell Causeway for running and cycling. It's always well kept and isn't gated so you can start before sunrise and the heat of Florida. It also has a kayak launch area. The downfall is the limited parking and no restrooms.
Excellent place to walk around ride your bike or run highly recommend bringing lunch sitting down having a little picnic. And on occasion, you might see an alligator highly recommend you visit.
Small park dominated by a pond. A walking trail surrounds the pond that is lined with soft stem bull rash and golden cannas. I've never seen more than one (5 foot) alligator at a time but advise owners of small dogs to pay attention. At dusk/dawn that gator likes to cross the trail. If you are not too loud you can see a wide variety of herons. The adjacent mangrove stand offers relaxed paddling adventures through the bayou including several Mangrove tunnels.
