(from Google)Beautiful park but doesn't have alot of shade if you go for a run.
Nice open park you can walk around, 2 miles loop.
20251129SA. Excellent place. It has a closed trail loop to run, bathrooms, a couple of bars to hang a nice monument to army, navy, military with a good message for peace, a lake, plenty of parking and a lot of grass. It is a quiet and peaceful place to train.
Sugar Land Memorial Park is honestly way nicer than I expected for a park that’s basically in the middle of suburbia where everyone drives a Yukon XL. Beautiful walking trails, clean bathrooms (yes, actually clean), big open fields, and a lake that makes you consider becoming a jogger for like 3 minutes before remembering who you are. We even saw a coyote. Not in a scary “National Geographic chase scene” way. More like he looked at us like we were the weirdos. Just trotted by like, “Relax, I live here.” The vibe overall: peaceful, family-friendly, and somehow both chill and fancy HOA energy at the same time. 5/5. Would return. But I’ll be wearing my “I’m not running today” sneakers — just in case the coyote decides he wants to talk about property taxes.
Lovely Park with lots of walking trails all around. It also connects to Brazos River Park. Just take the long backroad off the roundabout for even more adventures!!
