This office is consistently disorganized and unprofessional, with no respect for clients’ time. After several years of coming here, I can’t remember a single visit that didn’t involve long waits, excuses, or eventually leaving after 90+ minutes of waiting. Today was no different. I arrived early for my scheduled appointment, checked in, and waited. While I got there, another frustrated client walked out due to scheduling delays, which should have been my warning. An emergency did come in, but I had already been waiting over an hour at that point, which seems to be the norm here. The front desk staff appears overwhelmed, and the veterinarians show little awareness or concern for how far behind they are running. There is no communication, no transparency, and no effort to manage appointments or expectations. I left without my dog being seen, and my dog is still itching and uncomfortable while I now have to find a new veterinarian. If you value your time or expect basic professionalism, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I was very pleased with the service at El Sobrante Veterinary Hospital. From start to finish, everything was explained clearly and thoroughly, and I never once felt pressured to get extra services or upsells. The staff was professional, patient, and genuinely cared about my dog. It made the whole visit feel comfortable and stress-free. I honestly think I’ve found a new vet for Duke. Highly recommend.

I absolutely recommend Dr. wehren. She’s amazing, attentive, caring, and goes above and beyond to figure things out. The good for nothing ER vet gave my doggy a death sentence, we went to Dr. wehren for a second opinion and soo far it’s been amazing and my doggy is looking better.

The El Sobrante Veterinary Hospital, specifically Dr. Wehren, was recommended to me by my neighbor/friend. Our cat was end stage FIV+. His previous vet was closed over the Thanksgiving week/weekend. I called on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to fit me in for a 5:30 appointment, the same day, to help our beloved Scratches transition, as he had declined very quickly since his visit to his regular vet 2 weeks earlier. The staff was very friendly, professional, caring and compassionate. They were running a little behind and waived the exam fee due to the wait time. Dr. Wehren was the epitome of a warm hug! She made us feel comfortable, explained the process clearly, and eased us through Scratches' transition. We were allowed ample time to grieve and say our good-byes to our sweet boy. Overall, the staff made this heartbreaking experience more bearable and I can't thank them enough for taking care of us and our fur baby as he transitioned to the Rainbow Bridge. I followed Dr. Wehren to El Sobrante Veterinary Hospital because she is such a great vet. The staff here are friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. They make both pets and owners feel comfortable and cared for. Dr. Wehren always takes the time to explain things clearly and you can tell she truly cares about her patients. On top of that, the costs are very reasonable compared to other clinics.
