We brought our toy pomeranian, Bucky, to Med Vet late one evening to be evaluated and treated. He choked on a piece of dry bread too big for him to swallow. I'd managed to dig it out of his throat as he was choking, but was unsure if I'd gotten all of it. He was breathing shallowly and was limp. Upon arriving staff quickly assessed the situation and immediately took Bucky in to be seen by the doctor. After his evaluation, the doctor came out to let us know Bucky would have xrays done to make sure his air passage was clear. He also explained that swelling could occure. He also informed us that there was a potential for pneumonia. He gave us medicine and explained how to administer it in order to ward off the possibility of getting pneumonia. We are extremely happy with the Med Vet personnel and with Bucky's care and recovery. We highly recommend Med Vet doctors, personnel and facility to all in need of their excellent care.

Entered facility at 8:00pm with my cat with a broken leg. By 11:00 they had sedated and began treatment which included X-rays sent out for evaluation. I returned home and waited til 3:00am the next day when I was called to return to pick up cat Staff was supportive, friendly, kept us informed . My only negative was how long it took to get necessary treatment. Cost was also considerable. The vet was good at explaining what needed to be done for getting surgery which we did the same day

MedVet on Brevard Rd. in Asheville was wonderful and saved our little dog Tilly who was viciously attacked by a much larger off-leash pit. When we brought her in they took her in immediately. She was in shock, needed a blood transfusion, and several surgeries to repair the wound which ripped open her neck and lacerated her jugular vein. She spent 11 days in the ICU. The doctors were present 24/7. They were knowledgeable, attentive and kept us updated. The surgeon was board certified. The techs and other staff were caring and on the ball. We were encouraged to call anytime to check on her, and since the first few days were touch-and-go, we called often. It didn't matter if it was 4PM or 4AM, we were immediately connected to the ICU doctor who gave us a status report. It was very supportive for our peace-of-mind. We don't think Tilly would have survived without this five-star care at MedVet. Thank you MedVet for saving our girl.

I can't say enough good things about our experience at MedVet. It was scary time when my dog got injured. I called MedVet to see if they had recommendations on how to load her into the car. They were very kind. Check in was easy, the got to us quickly, and did a great job of keeping me in the loop. While I was waiting I was offered water and given the opportunity to sit down and calm down. The most important part is that they took great care of my dog. They were kind, very through in treatment, took blood work, did an ultrasound, really understood the potential implications of her injury and clearly explained treatment. Thank you so much for taking care of Aggie.

Excellent care and love for my dog from check in to check out. Every staff member made me feel at ease from reception to vet tech to the Vet, Dr. Haynes was incredibly kind but honest and she was able to save my dog. It was very close call but I would trust my pets with any of the staff !
