(from Google)For anyone considering purchasing a puppy from Lil Rascals, please do your research. No matter what they tell you, these puppies come from puppy mills and are born to mothers kept in conditions that would turn your stomach and break your heart. Ask the questions, don't believe that certifications mean healthy/humane, and do your own research. These puppies are often inbred, sold with genetic predispositions to a variety of diseases/orthopedic issues, and some are already ill. This business is NOT accredited and has one star on the BBB website- see for yourself. If the owners of this establishment truly cared about the future of their puppies, why would they offer financing? Owning a dog is expensive. Regular veterinary care, quality food, and proper exercise/socialization requires dedication of both time and finances. Dogs can (and will) get sick, tear a ligament, need blood work, etc. All of this is extraordinarily expensive and what happens when an owner can't afford to properly care for their animal because they were allowed to use a payment plan? Offering financing gives potential pet owners the illusion that it is easy and predictable to financially care for a dog. This is only one of the myriad ways that deserving dogs end up in shelters. Every single day, 586 dogs are euthanized in shelters in the U.S. So many of these dogs are perfectly healthy, housebroken, and have proven their loving and loyal nature. Shelters have vetted adults, sweet seniors, and even puppies. PLEASE consider adopting from a shelter instead of supporting a questionable (at best) business that only cares about the almighty dollar. There is a reason that stores like this are illegal in countless states in the U.S.
We stopped here a couple weeks ago after shopping and they were very helpful so when we got serious we decided to come back and see if they had one that would work for us. We found a gorgeous little Cavapoo puppy which was the exact breed we’d been searching for. Haley was very helpful answering several questions and helping to see if he’d get along well with our kids. We had a great experience and they are well priced compared to many of the other options around.
The staff here at lil Rascals is always amazing and super helpful! The puppies are always ready to play and so sweet. Haley in particular was super nice and very helpful in helping us choose our girl. We could not be more happy and grateful for the help we received. 10/10 recommend for your future puppy needs!
We had the best experience buying our puppy at Lil Rascals! Our kids fell in love with Kirby the Maltipoo and right away we knew it was meant to be. The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. They made it so easy
I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful Michelle and her team at Little Rascals has been in adopting our precious pup. I live in PA and happened to go into little rascals with my daughter who attends FGCU nearby. We had lost our 12 year old Wheaton terrier 6 months prior and were devastated and even more do was our senior pup Dex who missed his brother. We had gone to a rescue two weeks prior to adopt a dog but the dog we were looking at was bonded with another… three dogs was not in our plan. Sadly we went home and upon walking into my house I found a lady bug on my door handle. I told my husband we would get lucky in finding our right dog because lady bugs are lucky. Sure enough my daughter pulled me into Little Rascals two weeks later when visiting her at college.,In the back of the store was this little 6lb rust colored puppy smiling at me. I asked what breed she was, here she was a mix and puppy of the shop owner Michelle’s dog. I asked her name and couldn’t believe it…LADYBUG!!! I knew she was our dog! Alexandra advised that Michelle had to meet the candidate prior to adoption in this case so we spoke over the phone as I was in the airport headed back to PA. Michelle was so warm and loving and I could tell was really invested in lady bugs well being. My daughter and I began “project ladybug”. I flew back 24 hrs later to get her after putting down deposit. Michelle and I met in person at the store. We hugged and cried happy tears and though they all were sad to part with lady bug they knew she would be loved very deeply. We just celebrated Lady bugs first birthday. She had brought SO much love and joy into our lives. We are forever grateful to Michelle and her staff! This is the kind of place you want your furbaby to come from!!
