Recent floods (2025) have damaged the boardwalk. It is still walkable, though the small parking pad is closed off, and the boardwalk itself, though mostly stable, is slanted in places and a few boards are rotted out. There is an expanded teaching deck toward one end that was repaired several years ago that was quickly damaged again by a falling tree. The tree was removed, but they never made more repairs. You can see the evidence of disinterest in maintaining it. Otherwise, it is still an interesting place to visit, despite these drawbacks, in all seasons and weather. This is a flood plain, and in most rainy weather the boardwalk will keep your feet dry. Deer are commonly sighted early morning, and the variety of wild flowers and plants are typical of a Piedmont flood plain. The Rock Hill water treatment plant is visible and a literal stone's throw away. Sometimes even close enough to smell.

Highly recommend this place. Perfect for a 5k training trail with off course hiking options too!

This place is awesome!! Can't wait to see what they have done with the upgrades. It is however closed during the winter. But when the lillies bloom it is breathtaking!!. Highly recommend seeing it during spring

It is a beautiful place to come and walk with yourself an or the family. There are a few different paths to take. One is a deck surface, one is paved, and the other is through a wooded area. I can only speak about the paved and the decking. The paved walking/biking path mostly runs along a beautiful river. The decking mainly is through the woods. You can also kayak/canoe.
