Groomingdales

Went here for the first time recently with my dog Stella (her first time going to a groomer!) She was super nervous but the staff took amazing care of her and did an amazing job grooming her hair and trimming her nails. We were beyond happy with the job that they did. We will definitely be back!

We tried three other grooming places before trying groomingdales after a friend recommended them and we could not be happier. We have a mix of a long and short hair dachshund and none of the other groomers did even remotely close to as good of a job. We were ready to give up and take her to the suburbs for a grooming before we found groomingdales. They were so accommodating and professional I could not recommend them more. Finally we found a place on the UES that can give our baby the perfect grooming! She’s so velvety smooth and has gotten so many compliments. No other groomer in the city compares. Maryann and Krista are top notch grooming talent!

We’ve been using Groomingdales for 25 years and have always been happy with their consistently great services. Today I thought I showed up 15 minutes late to an appointment and they were kind and gracious about it. Then after they looked up our appointment in their books, they informed me that I was actually a whole day early (they were right; I put the right date on my wall calendar and the wrong date in my phone calendar). They told me that they would still hang on to my dog for the day and give him a grooming as soon as they could fit him in. I don’t live nearby anymore so I was especially grateful for this option and by the end of the day my good boy came out looking happy and spiffy with his new cut! On top of their reliability and good customer service, they are kind and loving towards animals. Grateful to have this local business around for a long time!

I bring my cat here for dematting and they do a wonderful job. They’re almost always able to brush him out instead of shaving which I appreciate. His last visit he was a little spicy and they couldn’t finish. I felt terrible, went to pick him up and they didn’t even charge me. Will absolutely continue using them (after having a stern talk with my cat).
