Bear Gulch Park, located in Upland, CA, is, in my opinion, the best park to walk and to exercise in all of the Inland Empire. The park is well maintained and clean, there is a feeling of safety here and there is almost always someone here if not on the center field playing soccer and the bathrooms are well kept. The park is normally breezy and a true breath of fresh air to walk lap after lap. What I love the most is that this park offers exercise stations and is literally a free gym within itself. You can do sit-ups, inner push-ups, steps, balancing, pull-ups, under gravity pull-ups, dips, and so much more. You literally get a full body work-out within an hour. Regarding walking, you can easily extend your laps by walking the perimeter of the Bear Gulch Elementary School and then easily work your way back into the park concrete loop. The additional incentive I've found here at Bear Gulch Park is meeting some wonderful fellow exercisers whom I've now known for almost 5 years. I frankly love walking this park, exercising here, and finding an hour of me time when I can leave my cellphone in the car and not be disturbed. This, my friends, is a 5 Star Park to accomplish health goals and weight loss.

I come here occasionally to walk laps with the wife. Around dusk it's usually not too crowded. The park is not very big and has a small playground. Bathrooms are typically clean. There are only a few picnic tables and just one soccer feild. If there's a game going on it's pretty packed. Surrounded by an elementary school, apartments, and Arrow Hwy, there's not much of a view. Not sure if I'd feel real safe after dark but I've never had any problems. If you live nearby it is a nice little after dinner walk but I'd see no reason to make a trip here unless you are playing soccer. To sum it up, it's not a bad park at all it's just not anything out of the ordinary.
