We love to come walk in this park. It has a couple miles of wooden deck trails. There is a look out tower (1/2 mile hike) where we often see alligators and snapping turtles. There are rest benches ever hundred yards or so.

Absolutely beautiful park full of wildlife and a diverse array of plants. Noticed tons of lillys, bromeliads, elephant ears, and wildflowers along the trails as alwell as animals like ibis, moorhens, turtles, and alligators. The trails and facilities are very well marked and well kept. The only weird thing is that you have to drive through a residential neighborhood to access this park, so when your GPS tells you to turn into a neighborhood, it's right.

Sawgrass Lake Park is a must-visit! 🤩 Free parking and entrance with walk paths, benches, tables, restrooms, and even board games. This is by far one of my favorite parks I have been to so far. SO MUCH wildlife from turtles, butterflies, birds of all kinds, alligators, and so much more. I saw the largest alligator I have ever seen in the wild directly across the water from me, at least 10ft or more! 🐊 Multiple walking path and hiking options with the main path very well built out, easy to walk at 1 mile. The additional hike path was another mile or so that was easy and peaceful as well, just note it is not as paved and has a more rustic feel. Highly recommend this park for all! 🌳🚶‍♀️ #Park #Nature #Wildlife #Adventure #outdoors #sassyrvnomad #AdventureWithAttitude #hike #hiking

Very easy walk. The path seems newly done and well maintained. Great for strollers. Lots of nice people! Everyone we ran into was eager to help point out the various wild life, especially the alligators

The 400 acres of peaceful walks and exploration holds one of the largest maple swamps on the Gulf Coast, perfect for wildlife photos! There is also a natural hiking trail. Many areas wheelchair accessible. There's plenty of parking. Fishing is NOT ALLOWED. The observation tower offers a fantastic view of Pinellas county.
