(from Google)UPDATE: Since I posted my review 3 years ago, so many amazing things have occurred at Upper Suncoast Dog Training Club. The club has expanded their service dog training, Alliance of Therapy Dogs permitting our certified instructors to credential dogs as ATD qualified. This all volunteer club offers education from novice to expert in facets of training including Agility, Confirmation, Rally, along with club activities including 'Pack Walks' for better on leash and social behaviors, while having many 'students' qualify for Westminster Agility, National Confirmation, AKC National Agility Invitational and others. They have earned 501c3 status and have dogs in nursing homes and schools weekly. Dental care is provided at discounted rates, and visiting experts participate in seminars in the bright, and updated club on Logan Street, Clearwater. My story is how I brought two rescue Australian Cattle Dogs 9 years ago and never looked back. They've both had major AKC Agility success. Many new friends, patient and excellent instructors Remember- these are VOLUNTEERS, and when I read the occasional negative review I have to wonder if they attended the same Upper Suncoast DTC I do! Be patient getting your new dog into any particular class, ask questions, and practice at home and you will enrich your experience with your new partner beyond your imagination.
Both of my dogs, Love training here! I have learned a lot, about being a calm and clear leader for my dogs, and I reap the awards every day. Whenever I tell my dogs today, you’re going to dog class they get very excited. The volunteers that run the classes here are wonderful, and knowledgeable. I very much appreciate the opportunity to experience training my dogs with these volunteers. Both of my dogs have completed Obedience 1 training and are currently in obedience 2 training. I have one dog in agility class, currently in level two agility. I love that my dogs now find it rewarding to listen to me, which is amazing! I most definitely recommend the Upper Suncoast Dog Training Club to anybody that wants to strengthen their bond & communication with their dog. Thank you to everyone at Upper Suncoast Dog Training Club!!
We have done puppy classes and conformation classes here. The atmosphere is very welcoming, my 7 year old daughter has been participating in classes regularly and everyone has been so supportive of her desire to learn how to work with dogs! She looks forward to the class every week. Our puppy was initially fearful of strangers but after consistent training here he has made amazing progress. Coach Kerri who teaches the conformation drop in class is amazing.
When we adopted our pup, he was very fearful and had never learned the basics, such as walking on a leash. It was clear that he needed training. Thankfully I came across this amazing Dog Training Club. We worked our way up several obedience courses and even qualified with a Canine Good Citizen certification. Our dog enjoyed classes so much that we expanded into Rally and Agility training, and we couldn't be happier with how this had helped him blossom into a happy, confident dog. The club is run by highly experienced volunteers who clearly love dogs. This also helps keep class costs very affordable. All the instructors are fantastic and we have learned so much, and classes are a lot of fun. Both my pup and I love coming here!
Great trainers, clean facility, happy dogs. My Jaxon got his Obedience Training and Therapy Dog certificate here. He absolutely LOVES coming to class and learning more commands now he is a popular face at our local hospital and 2 nursing homes...
