(from Google)Great trail for San Angelo area. Lots of wildlife if you come at the right time. Not very difficult at all but you can run it, it does some little hills.
If you want a peaceful run, jog, walk come to this trail because you get a good view of the lake, and it helps with feeling at ease.👍
Not my favorite type of scenery but it is peaceful and relaxing, it has its own type of beautiful
As a commercial service technician traveling on this road, it has always been other than desirable. It is a public roadway before a walking trail. So for the pedestrians walking this road, it's illegal for you to walk directly in a public roadway. You can not cause traffic to divert from its path of travel because you want to walk next to your sweetie. San Angelo Police Department could also visit it once in awhile to curb the illegal acts committed on a daily basis, not just from the pedestrians, but drivers as well. I have walked it one time and was almost hit 2 times. One of the assailants happened to live on the road.
Beautiful trail! It’s about 2 miles around I think? As it comes around the water it is an amazing sight, especially at sunset. Once you walk it a few times you see things that help you make how far you are— like the house with 20 black and white cats, or the flat area right before you get back to where you parked in the beginning. We even saw a porcupine there once! Not too challenging and a nice walk.
