(from Google)Great park! Lots of parking with plenty of places to explore. Trails where great and boardwalks.
This park has been a family favorite for decades and the nature center has excellent displays combined with valuable information concerning the local flora and fauna! Upper Tampa Bay Park is a walk or oatddle in the wild side of Florida!
The park is a beautiful place to visit. $2 dollars entry fee. We saw roseate spoonbills, wood storks and other wading birds just past the entrance. At the nature center they have a lot of information on critters, snakes and the Indians that came before us. Canoe and kayak rentals and great launch and docks. We took the bobcat trail. Very good day
This park is awesome! The rangers that man the nature center are funny, personable, and professional. They go out of their way to make our trips here as fun as possible. For fishermen, I have caught catfish (many kinds), pinfish, sea trout, and massive redfish here. Renting a kayak/canoe is cheap and the equipment is well maintained. Being able to enjoy the mangroves is great, especially because we are often the only ones fishing in any given area. Plus, seeing manatees is not uncommon. For the rest, this park is beautiful and has walking trails, covered shelters, and animals to view. Water views are available as well. Come visit this park and enjoy this hidden piece of nature nestled in the middle of the TBA.
Great place to rent kayaks or canoes to paddle around the mangroves or even access the inner bay. Reasonable rates. Currently $25 / 4 hours Double kayaks available Easily accessible walking trails too. Playground for the kids.
