I cannot recommend Eric enough! I have four high-energy huskies who were completely all over the place before working with him , pulling, jumping, not listening ,total chaos. But after training with Eric, they’re like a completely different pack. He was patient, firm, and incredibly skilled at reading each dog’s behavior and adjusting his methods. Now they’re walking calmly, responding to commands, and actually listening. I never thought I’d see the day, but thanks to Eric, I have obedient huskies — and peace of mind. 100% worth it!

I just picked up my two pups from a two week board and train with Coastal Canine Academy and I couldn't be happier. My "boys", two 1-year old rat terriers, are FINALLY listening! Anyone with terriers knows exactly what I'm talking about (LOL). Two weeks ago, the boys were easily distracted and when I made the mistake of letting them into the front yard, they ran after everything that moved (people, other dogs, squirrels, birds...you get the idea...). They ran into the road, ran after people, and frequently presented themselves as snacks to larger, often aggressive, dogs. No matter how much or how loud I called for them to stop or come back, they never listened. Not exactly how I want to meet my neighbors. After doing a little research and speaking with several trainers in the Wesley Chapel area, I decided to send the boys to Coastal Canine. I have to admit that I was a little apprehensive about leaving my pups with a stranger, but Eric and his staff put me at ease. He kept me updated and sent pictures and videos of the work in progress. He also didn't mind my occasional call. When I arrived to pick up my babies, I couldn't believe the transformation! They were happy and lively and very happy to see me but the usual mugging, jumping, and whining was replaced with well-mannered restraint. Eric spent an hour or so showing me how to work with them - no more pulling on the leash, sit, down, and stay were all beautifully executed. I was amazed. Then came the recall test. I have to admit that I didn't expect much but I was so wrong. The boys not only paid attention to the recall command, they actually came back immediately and sat in front of me!! Oh My Stars! I couldn't believe it!! I don't have the words to express my gratitude and I can't say enough good things about Eric and his team. I signed them up for advanced training on the spot! Thank you Eric!!

Eric did a great job training my dog Chloe and Lucy! Would recommend him to everyone, my dogs are night and day with their behavior! Eric’s super easy to work with and showed lots of care for my fur babies!

Highly recommend for all ur dog training needs

Our service dog Sparks (pitbull/great Dane mix) was nearing her much needed and deserved retirement so we decided to go ahead and get another dog to train and let her help train to take over her duties. Enter Sheba, our new Cane Corso. Due to Cane's size, looks, strength, and protective nature we decided to search out a trainer to help us and her with strong obedience and socialization so that she would be comfortable with different scenarios and so that others would not be intimidated and would see a very well behaved and socialized dog. It was at Shebas vet appointment that we were talking to them about training, and we were told about Eric at Coastal Canine Academy as he trained another Corso that they had from the breeders' previous litter. We got Eric's number and called him. Eric was so sweet and listened to what we needed and wanted for Sheba. After multiple conversations, we decided that Eric was the trainer that we wanted and needed. We enrolled Sheba in basic obedience and socialization training, and Eric kept us apprised of her progress completely along the way! He knew that we were truck drivers and he even worked her around other trucks to get her comfortable with the unique noises that big trucks entail. We went and visited Sheba during her training, and she loved Eric and was even eager to show us on her own what she was learning without any commands from him. She was a total new pup! We have 10 grandchildren and 1 is especially frightened by big dogs and I know that he will take to Sheba as he has Sparks because she is now calm cool and collected just like Sparks, instead of a bouncing ball of chaos. We can not say enough of how much we know that we CHOSE the CORRECT person to help us and Sheba. Eric is the absolute best at what he does! His soft and gentle nature not only will make your fur baby comfortable but will also make you comfortable plus Eric has told us that he is invested along our journey whether that be answering questions or follow up lessons not only for her but for us, as us owners need to be trained also for optimal results.
