(from Google)I just took my dog for a full grooming appointment and will not be going back. The staff were friendly but the actual cut my chipoo receieved was terrible. It was uneven all over his body and his face was left choppy and uneven as well. I asked for it to be fixed and they attempted by going right at him in the lobby area and snipped around until it was decent. Grooming is not a cheap service so I’m just really disappointed with the skill level here, would not recommend.
Unfortunately I will not be giving Groomingdale's any more of my business, after using them repetitively since we moved nearby last year. On 10/7, I texted to set an appointment. The message began with "Unfortunately, my earliest appointment isn't until the 23rd..." - Fine. "Unfortunately" is not a good word to use in customer service, but that's OK. I also asked to be put on the cancellation list in case there was a last minute availability between now and then. Flash forward to today, 10/23, and I show up with my dog. Lo and behold, they did not schedule me on 10/7, because "I only asked to be put on the cancellation list." Honestly, I can see where the miscommunication happened even if I don't agree with it. The issue is that, not only were they passive aggressive to me about it over text (screenshots included), they were even more aggressive about it in person when I went to pick up my dog. Doubling down on why she did not schedule me, and raising her voice over me when I tried to provide my perspective. At the end of the day, I could care less if you're the best groomer in the world. I work in customer service myself and at NO point would I ever think about treating a repeat customer like this. I did not need them to be overly apologetic or take the blame, but to not even attempt an apology of any kind (even after I offered my own) is a complete and utter lack of customer service.
I have taken all of my dogs to Groomingdale’s and always had a wonderful experience. The staff is so caring and genuine. Most recently, I took my new puppy by for a nail trim and overheard them singing “You are my sunshine” to comfort him. They are so sweet and do an excellent job!
We love Groomingdales of Austin. I have been coming here for almost a decade. Great prices. Great team. Great service. My dogs love going to their doggy day spa. I LOVE the in house made bows every pup gets after grooming. A before video of the excited spa visitors. And after pictures including the bows. These are two happy pups.
My pup Rio is a 2 yo Toy Australian Shepherd On our first visit he was given a shorter cut than I was used to but it was adorable! He was a movie star at the airport when we traveled! So many ppl asked about him (but he tends to get a lot of love and attention anywhere we go! But especially after his cut). They also give side nail trims that are far more reasonably priced than closer into town groomers. You can drop in for the trim but check days and times. Definitely will go back!
