Trailhead Park

This park is the main entrance to a splendid series of dirt trails leading through the woods and valleys between housing developments. It's surprising how secluded you can feel as the trail winds between trees and across streams. The trails have a map at the main entrance and marker signs at intersections. There is a parking lot at the North end of the trails, which connects with a park featuring playgrounds, a basketball goal, covered picnic pavilion, and restrooms. The South end of the trails connects to a neighborhood culdesac, about a twenty minute walk along sidewalks back to the parking lot.

A way fun park! Lots for the kiddos to do, and a nice pavilion for the adults to hang! Great place to stop for a few hours to let the kids exhaust themselves! LOL Highly recommend this park!

One of Austin's best keep secrets. The route has un upper and lower river walk area so the 2.5 miles is not always the same. It has great amenities like restrooms covered picnic, tables, and a nice playground.

This Park is very nice and clean. Small but it's a good and sometimes busy distination for a walk in the trailhead that goes inside a small forest for few miles, and for families too with all the playground spaces for kids of all ages..a small field for soccer or football and a covered area with tables and chairs for some celebrations too...(we saw a lot of people there last week for a BD party I guess...it was very nice and colorful and very clean too). The only issue there is the bathroom is not functional (or just always closed!!) And the parking area is very small just for a dozen cars..and the weekends are very busy there, so the only choice is the on-street parking...or park far away. Otherwise this is a highly recommended place.

This is a great little park. There's a trail that feels like it goes on for miles. The playground itself has a huge canopy covering it. During the summer it's really nice, the sun isn't beating down on you. There are other little things to play on not under the canopy. Bring a ball and you can play on the field or basketball court. There are swings but they are closer to the parking lot. If you haven't been here, make a plan to visit. 😊
