Dominique's Doghouse LLC

We left our high energy young dog with Dominique for several days. It was the first time we had left her after adopting her a couple of years ago. I felt very comfortable with Dominique as soon as we met. She seemed reliable, caring, experienced and professional. Layla was happy and seemed to be very well-cared for during her stay. I will be happy to leave her with Dominique again.

After moving from California to North Carolina, I searched for a good daycare place for my pup. There were many options, but they were either booked with long waiting lists or located too far from home. I also hoped to avoid places that rely on extended crate time during the day, which was surprisingly common. When I found Dominique’s Dog House, I immediately felt at ease. Dominique is warm and welcoming, and I immediately got a great vibe from her. Ezra seemed happy and comfortable; I could tell he was well cared for. I would definitely bring him back again.

Dominique’s Doghouse Dominique is an excellent care giver of her fur guests, when she’s home. When she goes out, sometimes for an hour or 2, and other times for many hours, she may leave one of her children in charge who are not licensed. Recently she let me know she was meeting her husband for lunch around 11:30am and when I went to pick up my girls around 6pm, no one was home. Dominique would sometimes meet me by the gate of the back yard and sometimes out front. That day she didn’t come out, so I thought she was meeting me in the back. Again, no one was there. The family arrived home shortly after and they all made me feel as if I did something wrong, when all I did was what I’ve always done. I waited by the gate. There’s a reason I don’t leave my girls at home alone. When I pay $35/pet/dog per day, I expect the person I hired to be present. Anything can happen; just like a human child. On a personal level, I found her to be very sweet, yet spacey. Last minute I would get notified that the family was going out earlier than pick up time. So while I’m working, I have to drop everything, not get paid, yet still pay her the same amount, and go pick up my girls. If you don’t mind your fur babies being cared for and looked after sporadically, then this is the place for you. If you care about your fur babies as I do, then I would look elsewhere. My girls kept going, despite my uneasiness, because I couldn’t find another place for my girls to run all day. Now I have and will stay with the professionals.

I’ve been using Dominique for many years now and she is the all time best! I never have to worry about ramona while I’m away because I know she’s in great hands. Ramona loves spending time at Dominique’s!

Our pup has been super happy going here! Dominique shows great care for the dogs.
