(from Google)Biked 10 miles what i gathered about this trail is its just like me.. Long and straight with a slight curve here and there.
Greating running/biking trail. Partially shaded, relatively flat. Very long like 25 miles out. Parking lot at trailhead
The Douglas trail is fantastic. You can take it either direction from this trailhead. Lots of parking, rarely more than 5-7 cars at any time. The trail goes over many major roads. It’s behind lots of houses, so you’re close to others, but you feel a long ways away. The tall, mature trees muffle the noise of cars and the world. Perfect to bike, walk or bring your pet. It’s a very easy trail, flat and beautiful. You can walk it all the way to pine Island and back.
traveled to the mayo last year and found this trail to go on while we were there. we didn’t walk much of it, but this trail was absolutely breathtaking. i definitely recommend stopping here if you’re nearby.
This is hands down one of my favorite trail systems. Well maintained and friendly people. We saw a lot of wildlife and there are many spots to pull over and go down by the water.
