Nice park with paved trails around a scenic pond. Great place for walking and biking and fishing.

It's a little bit of everything - one can bike, skate, or hike on the paved areas and enjoy the trees, birds and water - then there are the unpaved areas that are wonderfully well tended so clear but still very natural - one can canoe or kayak if that's ypur thing. Catch and release fishing NOTE: please check the water quality prior to getting in - there are little seating areas all over but not so many that it feels crowded - clean restrooms - seasonal raised garden - set up for beginner orienteering

It's a great gateway park to trails, the loop around the lake is 1.7miles. The path is solid, but there's a short "off path" connection to get to additional trails. Kickerillo used to be our go to for nature programs, but the precinct has basically made that non-existent as there's no longer staff assigned to this location. It's unfortunate as we and many other families used to visit the park multiple times a week, with cutbacks we pivoted and only visit a few times a month.

An awesome park for morning exercise or recreation, whether walking, running, skating, biking, canoeing, etc. 1.7 mile paved path around the lake. With access to the west side of 249 and Cypresswood Dr. Several platforms on the lake, very nice restrooms. I saw cranes, deer, a rabbit, lots of birds, and signs about turtles (and alligators!).

**update** I saw a beaver swimming in the lake tonight (4/26/25)...so cool!! Love this park. I'm here 3x per week. Such a beautiful place to walk, study, take a picnic lunch, or just relax. I see people let their little dogs in the lake. I see signs that say there could be snakes or alligators. Are there alligators in the lake? Makes me fearful for the cute little dogs.
