DeJarnette Park

DeJarnette Park is tucked away in Ashland VA. Unless you are are one of the neighborhoods attached to the many paths radiating from it you will not know it's there. Heck, I'm pretty local and didn't know it is here until today when I map searched "parks in VA" for a lark after the Y. Except for the path around the nearest pond it is definitely power chair usable and wheel chair usable will vigilance. It is a low maintenance walk and great for someone like me that can't leave a side trail alone.

This is a small and cute park with a 0.5 mile long trail which goes around the park and partially around the pond. There is also a parking lot and a toilet box at the lot. Very quiet, nice to have a walk. However the pond is not clean, also mosquitoes around the place. Also not recommended to walk around if it rains, it can get very slippery.

Always a safe, clean, and quiet trail to walk. It may be small and short, but it is nice to have within the neighborhood. No bathrooms but one Porta-Potty at the beginning of trail. Has a small dirt lot that only has room for maybe 3 cars.

I loved the little leaning tree other than that there's isn't anything there
