Very nice shaded area to walk. They have a bike trail as well. Playground for the children and dog friendly.

Great place to ride your bike or go for a run. Recently I’ve found some interesting wildlife along the trail, namely some type of snake. Cool for sightseeing AND exercise!

Santa Fe Trail is a runner's paradise! The well-marked path, beautiful scenery, and peaceful atmosphere make it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The trail's length allows for a satisfying workout, and the well-maintained route enhances the experience. 🏃‍♂️🌳🌟

East Dallas’ well-known trail that extends from Deep Ellum and takes you directly into White Rock Lake. Since becoming a Lakewood resident, I use this trail daily for jogging, cycling and longboarding. Trail is fairly smooth and wide enough to ride through even with heavier foot traffic. Beware occasional debris/rocks and parents who can’t control their kids. For the most part even during peak times, it’s not too bad to navigate through. People are friendly and also mind to themselves. After dark often attracts drug-users and sketchy characters, but haven’t witnessed anything too crazy. Recommend for anyone who’s looking for a fun way to get into the lake.
