Dr. Choi and his staff have been so nice to my special needs pup. He was really thorough but considerate of the cost of keeping up with her needs. He and the staff genuinely seem like they care. I was referred by my sister who also had a great experience, and I'm really glad I found this practice.

Benji

I will forever be grateful to Graceful Animal Hospital for the care and attention they gave and give my doggy, Benji. A few months prior to his first visit with Dr. Choi, we had taken him to a different vet who dismissed his symptoms and didn’t perform any diagnostic testing. The vet brushed it off as, “he’s just getting older.” My dog was 1 year at the time. Benji got worse and we called Dr. Choi who had an opening. Dr. Choi took the time to really listen, run the proper tests, and discovered that my dog had a blockage and eventually required surgery. He tried to avoid surgery, but we couldn’t. Ultimately, the surgery was a success and Benji has a new vet. Dr. Choi was incredibly attentive throughout the entire process, explaining everything clearly, keeping us updated, and making sure our dog was comfortable and recovering well. During his hospitalization Roberta and Victoria would take Benji out to pee, would keep us updated by phone and email us pictures every night. These updates meant so much to us. You can tell Dr. Choi and the staff genuinely care about the animals. I highly recommend Graceful Animal Hospital, to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian.

I want to share my experience with Graceful Animal Hospital—where our longtime family dog, Oreo, passed away. On Monday, April 28th, he was fine in the morning—he walked, ate, and laid down. My parents went to work, but when they got home, he wasn’t at the door like usual. He couldn’t walk. He was dragging his back legs and whining. My dad called me to take him to the vet. I live 30 minutes away, and I rushed over. It was just me and him—just like it had been in the beginning. I remembered a new vet had opened near the house, so I drove straight there. I’ll be honest—I was broke and didn’t expect the $650 deposit. It caught me off guard, but now that time has passed, I understand why they do that. I only had $200 cash, but I used my emergency credit card. I just needed to help him. While crying, I filled out paperwork, and they took him in. Dr. Choi later brought me to a room and explained that it was his spine—something common in weenie dogs. Oreo was 15. We’d had him since I was in middle school. I’m now 24, turning 25 this May. He was our first family baby, and we had a lifetime of memories. It became clear he’d never walk again or live without pain. I broke down knowing what was next. It was time to let him go. I made the hardest decision of my life. I chose to stay with him—because that was the last thing I could do for him. I signed the papers, and just like that, he was at peace. He passed in my arms, still warm. My heart broke. I chose a small brown urn with space for a photo, his name plaque, and a clay paw print. I brought him home today, May 13th. And though it hurt, he’s finally home. To the staff and Dr. Choi—thank you for your compassion and support through the worst moment of my life. I’m forever grateful.
