Guilford College Animal Hospital

Our family first came to Guilford College Animal Hospital during one of the hardest moments we’ve had with a pet. Our corgi, Booty, had to be put down, and the provider we saw at the time handled the situation with incredible compassion. They helped us quickly, clearly explained our options, and allowed us the space to make the right decision for our family without any pressure or judgment. It meant a lot to us during such a painful moment. Because of that experience, we decided to continue our care there when we later adopted our new puppy, Lily. Since then, we’ve been seeing Dr. Samoska, and he has been wonderful. He patiently answered all of our puppy-related questions and was especially thoughtful and understanding knowing we had recently gone through the loss of Booty. The entire team has been great to work with. The office staff is always helpful and responsive, and they’ve provided documentation whenever I’ve needed it, even when I’ve misplaced it and had to ask more than once! We’re very grateful for the care we’ve received and feel confident bringing Lily here. Solid team all around.

I have been going to Guilford College Animal Hospital for about 4 years with my dogs and cats. They have been amazing for emergencies, courteous for wellness exams, and compassionate when I had to have one of my dogs put down. Dr. Samoska was a big part of helping me get through my soul dog's euthanasia. They gave me all the time I needed before, he explained everything to me in a soft voice, and they let me stay with him for as long as I needed after. Dr. Samoska sat on the floor with me for the procedure, and the techs were emotional as well. You and your pet are cared for. The prices are more than some other places, but it's worth it to save on emergency costs when something unexpected happens.

Their doctors are awesome! They always look out for the welfare of each individual animal regardless of how busy they are. Yes, they are sometimes too busy to meet face to face but they have trained techs who can relay diagnosis and prognosis just fine. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Lady is there today getting checked out before she is available for adoption.

I just want to take a moment to thank the staff at Guilford College Animal Hospital. I went after hours as my dog seemed to not be doing well. He was having some issues with constipation and my wife and I were getting scared. I am always impressed with their professionals and seeing us in a timely manner when I know there were other cases that I am sure were more serous than ours. Hope we don't run into more emergency's with our little guy, but if we do we will be back for sure.

All three of my dogs are patients here. My older pitbull just received ACL surgery. They were amazing. Personable, answered all my “nervous mom” questions. The fact that they are open 24/7 is priceless. Yes, they may be more expensive than others but they have the expertise and that’s worth it.
