(from Google)So let me start by saying I do love this location. I love the associate and especially the grooming department because they are very good with my dogs. However, there needs to be some kind of new system for dropping off for morning seeing that the grooming department opens at 7 AM, but the rest of the store isn’t open till nine. You’re typically standing outside waiting for someone to come open the door to let you come in to drop your dogs off for your grooming appointment.
This store looks grand and impressive on the surface, offering a pet hospital, pet hotel, pet grooming, and a pet department store… But let me just talk about the grooming service: it is the worst and most irresponsible one I have ever seen. My Bichon was inspected by a lady who sounded very professional. She told me it would take three to four hours and asked me to wait for her call before picking up my pet. Three hours later, I arrived at the store and found that another person had just finished bathing my dog and was preparing to trim its fur. I have no idea what kind of shampoo they used, but my dog’s fur looked darker and duller than before. Forty minutes later, I received a text message saying my pet was ready for pickup. To my shock, my Bichon was trimmed into a Teddy cut—the original round head shape was gone! The fur on its head was unevenly cut, the fur on its paws was also patchy, and some areas were shaved so short that the skin was exposed, revealing the muscle underneath! Even the nails weren’t trimmed. It seemed like no one cared about the grooming package I paid for. After returning home, my dog kept licking the shaved areas, and I noticed surface abrasions on its skin. No wonder this place rarely has customers and doesn’t require appointments! I only ended up here because my originally scheduled groomer was sick and had to postpone for a week. This was a huge mistake. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
My dog is usually pretty anxious about new people or going to a groomer. The gentleman who took care of him did an excellent job!
This is our first time we used this Hilltop PetSmart Grooming location. We were impressed by the way they handled our rescued Australian shepherd's much needed nail clipping and Dremel filed. Thank you! We will be taking our dog there again.
They always have time to squeeze my dog in for a nail clipping. She's a senior dog with bad hips and they make sure she is clipped on the floor and well taken care of.
