A very well set up training facility for your pet or future show dog. Simple training system where the handler is trained and then practices daily at home with their dog. Lots of classes for a variety of ways to keep your dog busy!

I'm so excited about these folks! After seeing her graduate summa cum laude from P*tSm*rt's puppy class with little change in her problem behaviors, I knew my little troublemaker needed an intervention with more to offer both dog and pet parent. With extremely affordable classes averaging $13 for a 75-minute group class, our interspecies dyad has found a community of thoughtful and committed, supportive, funny, and talented people with whom she is making tremendous strides. Many people in this group show their dogs and there is a big focus on obedience for that reason. Others do rally or agility. I hope that one day my dog will be a therapy dog and there is a human at SLDTC who takes her dogs to courtrooms to support sexual assault survivors on the stand. So cool! I really appreciate this group for its talent and for make me an affordable to train my dog (& self) to the next level

I’ve been going to SLDTC for about six months and really appreciate the experience. I first joined with my puppy for the puppy class and found it helpful in getting us started on the right foot. We continued into beginner obedience (twice!), since he was just five months old when we finished the first round. We’re now in novice obedience and still learning together. Everyone at the club is kind and clearly cares about helping you build a strong bond with your dog. It’s affordable, welcoming, and genuinely focused on helping you raise a well-behaved, confident dog for the real world. If you're looking for a supportive environment and great value, I’d definitely recommend checking it out.

We just enrolled our Golden Retriever Ace. So far, so good! The trainers were very helpful and showed us how to walk him without pulling and how to remain calm.

Started 4 weeks ago and I've learned so much already. I take my Doberman. I love the classes! UPDATE: My Dobie completed the class. I always got a lot of help and support from the staff. My dog and I have bonded on a new level. Early on in training our instructor talked about a cgc test at the end of the series. I didn't pay attention cause I didn't think my pooch could do it. But my pooch passed the test! I am forever grateful. 2ND UPDATE: I've been taking my Dobermans every Friday for Novice training. I haven't missed a day in over a year. My dogs love the place and we learn a lot! 3RD UPDATE! We started our 3rd year in Mary's beginner Novice training Fri evenings. I never thought I'd get this far. Mary encouraged me to show my older Dobie so I did. The 2nd time we participated in beginner novice event my Dobie got 1st place! We went from sitting in the corner 90% of the class (my younger Dobie was super reactive) to participating in dog trials. I am forever grateful for Mary's support. She also does everything possible to protect us and our dogs, even if it means removing a dog from class.
