Pebble Beach at Bean Hollow State Beach

Visited this place as a kid and have always wanted to go back. Beautiful sunset but it takes a bit of work to get down to the shore. Loved it!

This beach has awesome rock formations and a lot of colorful crabs! There is a lot of free parking on the paved side road. Restrooms are available. Highly recommended exploring the short trail that goes to Bean Hollow state beach!

The pebbles are so fun and the rock formations are amazing! Just about 20 steps to get down to the orange beach. There are picnic tables and hiking trails and weird looking "tide pools"? I didn't go down to look because there was so much bright green algae?

We didn't go down to the beach due to the conditions, but we enjoyed going onto the rocks in front of where you can park the car to look around. The Tafoni formations were a sight to see! When I looked to my left, it looked like seals were all over, but in actuality, it was just more geological wonders! To my right was the beach, but also more Tafoni and what looked to be sculpted mud (which it wasn't). Worthy of a stop and to admire it's beauty as the waves crashed in front of you. Some of the ocean spray went higher than the cliffs we stood on, but we were too far away to feel it.

Pebble Beach at Bean Hollow State Beach is a serene coastal spot known for its smooth, rounded pebbles and vibrant tide pools. The coastal trail offers stunning views and wildlife watching. Though swimming is discouraged due to strong currents, it's perfect for a peaceful escape.
