(from Google)This is an excellent outdoor walking trail featuring a wide variety of birds, such as white pelicans, anhingas, barred owls, 2 fishing ospreys and roseate spoonbills, among others. I gave it 4/5 stars only because there are no restrooms or porta-potties available. It's hard to get good bird photos with a phone without zooming in, so I’m excited to see the better pictures my son took with his dedicated birding zoom camera later."
Hans Marsh is an exceptional place to explore, go for a long long walk, and check out some wildlife, as well as interesting infrastructure. Near the airport, this pristine unique landscape is a treat to discover. Take a walk through the woods, down very long scenic paths, only to discover there's much more to be seen beyond the next corner. Absolutely stunning.
My private getaway — absolutely stunning! Harns Marsh is a true hidden gem and one of the most beautiful showcases of Florida’s natural scenery. The peaceful trails, wildlife, and wide-open views made it feel like our own private escape. I spent the afternoon here with my partner, and it was such a special experience — quiet, relaxing, and a perfect way to reconnect with nature and each other. We had a great time just wandering, talking, and enjoying the serenity of the marsh. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to unwind, breathe, and share a meaningful moment with someone you love, this place is absolutely perfect.
I saw many wading egrets and heron. I hiked around the lake and kept an eye out for snakes and gators. I recommend a sturdy walking stick in case you meet up with one or two.
Really enjoyed the hike on the trail. We saw a lot of different birds. I wish there was some kind of markers on the trail so you know for sure you're still on the trail. It's a long almost 4 mile loop and nothing to tell you that you're on the trail
