They take excellent care of my rabbit, who has an eye disorder from birth. They very patiently answered my 1 million questions about my rabbit's health.

I was very happy to find a practice that understood my Eclectus parrot - they're not the most common bird. The staff was friendly and efficient. They handled my Stoli very gently and trimmed his (way overgrown) nails without causing him any distress. His checkup was thorough and the vet also offered some suggestions to help Stoli's feather plucking. This practice is now my bird's go-to vet!

Yesterday I brought my rabbit in on an emergency basis as she had deteriorated rapidly and suddenly. I called in the morning and they got me in at 2. Dr. Parenteau saw her immediately and quickly informed me that her condition was critical and gave me my options. I had to make the toughest decision of all to humanely euthanize her and I couldn’t have asked for a better or more peaceful experience. Everyone was so kind and compassionate and did not rush me and allowed me to be present every step of the way. I was never coerced into any decisions nor did I feel pressured in any way. I decided it was time to say goodbye and Winnie was given the gift of a respectful and dignified passing while being held by me and snuggled by her bonded companion, Mango. She was so relaxed, had no anxiety, kept comfortable, and quite literally just went to sleep. I got to spend as much time as I wanted with her before. No one ever wants to do this, but when done right, it can be a gift to your pet. Thank you to the entire staff for helping my Winnie over the rainbow bridge.

The vet (Dr. Michelle Parenteau) and assistant were both so kind and nonjudgmental. They were so sweet to my cat too and made the experience as comfortable as possible for him. They gave me great insight and advice and their treatment plan is working so well for my boy!!! The music in the facility is so calming — great environment all around. My cat received an exam, wound care, and medication at a great price, too.

We recently brought our Butters to DGAH and so glad that we did! From the front desk, to the vet tech to Dr. Wehe… it was first rate! This was the first time I saw someone thoroughly examine our little guy. They asked a lot of questions and really listened. Dr Wehe was on the floor with him feeling his lumps and legs while the vet tech held him. Butters was very anxious and growled, but that didn’t dissuade them from their exam. They took the time to LISTEN and give us feedback. We have an ultrasound coming up and are hoping for a little more clarity. I highly recommend them if you love your pet like we do! Thank you! UPDATE: We had to let go of Butters today. Heartbroken!! The staff was incredibly compassionate and very consoling. It went so quietly and quickly… like he fell asleep. Thank you for your emotional support and professionalism.
