The prawn sauté at Brick House Restaurant & Lounge was the kind of meal that reminds a person of what matters… family, tradition, respect. One bite and suddenly you feel like you’re sitting at a long table somewhere in old Italy while somebody’s grandmama tells you, “Eat… you’re too skinny.” The prawns were rich, buttery, perfectly seasoned — the kind of dish made with patience, not recipes. This wasn’t just dinner. This was an offer my stomach couldn’t refuse.
We had reservations tonight to go to Cattlemens for my birthday, but received a phone call shortly before our reservation stating the restaurant had to unexpectedly close for the evening, so we decided to try Brickhouse instead. I had been wanting to come here for a while, so it seemed like a good opportunity and I am so glad we did! We ordered the meatball appetizer, family style mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, and bread board. My hunny got a ribeye and I ordered the filet. Meatballs were delicious! Steaks were cooked to perfection and seasoned nicely. The bread loaf was fresh and had amazing butter served with it. Mac n cheese was amazing! Mashed potatoes were disappointing, seems like they were overboiled prior to being mashed, but Chris (I believe he is the owner) was very attentive and took them off of our bill (he approached the table and asked about our experience to which we told him everything was amazing except the potatoes). He chatted with us for a few minutes, which made us feel welcome and valued as guests. Definitely will be coming back here, probably to try some pasta next time!
We found this place and it looked pretty good. We got there and had to wait about 10 minutes. The place was pretty busy around the bar area. They sat us in the back restaurant where it was much quieter. The waitress was great. Grabbed our drink order right away and then came back and took our food order. I got an old fashioned and I gotta say. They can make some good ones. I ordered the filet mignon and it was absolutely cooked perfect. Their mashed potato’s is a huge portion and very tasty as well.
Everything was incredible—the food, the service, and the vibe. The ribeye and fresh pastas were absolutely delicious, and the house-made apple crisp was the perfect ending. Big shoutout to Chris, the manager, for making sure our experience was fantastic.
