Capitol Illini Veterinary Services - Springfield

I went in to Capitol Illini Springfield with my GSD to see Dr. Antonini. She had hurt herself walking on ice - I was given many options and decided upon getting x-rays to determine what was causing her pain immediately. Dr. Antonini explained the findings to me and came up with a treatment plan that has worked for her. I am extremely happy with the care my dog received at Capitol Illini. I have been a client at both the Springfield and Chatham locations for many years and have always received excellent care.

I cannot say enough nice things about everyone here! Dr Carie and Allea are amazing. You can tell both of them truly have passion for their work. My cat has always had an extremely rough time going to the doctors. It’s been a high-stress experience for everyone involved. Until today, thanks to the patience and empathy from the staff. From the welcoming energy of the waiting room to the attention to detail in explaining care, we felt taken care of. And thank you to the kind receptionists who also helped schedule out how to make Coraline most comfortable!

My family and I have been taking our pets to Capitol Illini for many years. Currently, my dog Penny (11 year old Yorkie) sees Dr. Antonini for her check ups. I appreciate his pragmatic nature and never feel like he's trying to upsell or do a bunch of tests on her that she doesn't need. Luckily, Penny is in good health (and a lot of that is due to the care we get there!) but I am confident if she has health issues that pop up in her old age, Dr. Antonini will make sure she is well taken care of and I am well informed to make the best decisions for her. I highly recommend him in particular for anyone looking for a caring vet for their pet.

The team at Capitol Illini Veterinary Clinic is kind and caring. Our cats see whichever vet fits with our desired appointment time, and so we have had several different vets care for them over the last few years. Dr. Foreman, Dr. Hurst, Dr. Ball, and Dr. Antonini have all been so thorough in their exams and excellent at communicating care concerns. Erin and Cori at the front desk are always helpful and friendly. I appreciate the level of care we consistently receive here.

I took my cat in for a check up and the entire staff was wonderful. They were kind and caring with my cat and she was very comfortable in just a few minutes! Would definitely recommend them!
